In order to reach us over the times, traditional music and dance longtime passed from instruments to ears or from eyes for dances.
Collecters gathered witnesses from the last practising people as were their rememberance, and compilers gathered scattered tunes versus their objectives.
This page celebrates them by giving reference to their work from which are likely the origin of a lot of tunes on this web site.
Tunes and other dance cards came to me either directly by reading the documents or indirectly by informers or by the transcription of recorded music.
