MARGUERITE

A four musician band who propose:
• Bal folk (Auvergne, Limousin, Gascogne, Berry, Morvan, Poitou-Vendée, Bretagne, Alsace, Renaissance dances and foreign country dances)
• Short ancient music concert (medieval, renaissance, baroque).

Claude : accordion, fiddle, drums, mandoline
Nadine : hurdy-gurdy, recorders, oboe from Poitou
Bruno : voice, clarinet, pipe
Gary : clarinet, saxo, drums

Marguerite: garden side

Claude and Nadine since 1990 run workshops and training in traditional dances. From 1991 they play music in bals organised by the societies they founded (Amuse Danse then Folk Cadence). In 1993, Bruno joined them after having played in various bands he founded with various musicians from Ile-de-France. The trio took the name Folk Cadence. In 1999 this society starts training musicians (who are then going to use the name Folk Cadence), while Gary joined the trio. Last step in 2002: the four friends select Marguerite as the band name, with a reference to the nickname Claude friendly gives to the girls.
